MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Provides high quality guidance and medical support in a timely fashion
to external and internal customers
Medical Director Key Tasks:
Contributes to the running of the Company as a member of Novartis
Ireland Senior Management Team.
Takes care of the medical training of sales representatives
and other staff.
Provides medical approval for promotional and advertising material;
ensuring that it complies with the current Irish Pharmaceutical
Healthcare Association (IPHA) Code of Marketing Practices and
Novartis guidelines.
Supports the different Business Units (Marketing and Sales).
Assists in developing and executing pre-launch activities.
Provides medical approval where appropriate to business decisions.
· Liaise with the Development Department in Basel (our Headquarters
in Switzerland) and the Medical Department of UK.
Assists clinicians in the production of protocols which comply
with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.
Answers medical queries from internal and external customers.
Controls Medical Department budget and costs.
Assist local Registration Officers, Clinical Safety Officer,
Clinical Trial Monitors and Department Administration where necessary.
Meet with the Irish Medicines Board when appropriate.
